Fascinated by animals, stories and illustration from a young age, art has always been a big part of her life and fuelled her imagination.
Jessica is drawn to the colour and energy of Pop Art and the expressive characters of Japanese Manga. It was only natural that her artwork would evolve into bright, bold compositions overflowing with personality.
From the moment she brought home her Whippet puppy Finn in 2014 and painted his portrait, this special pup has connected Jessica’s love of art with her love of dogs, sparking the beginning of Pop Art Puppy Dogs.
The second fur baby in Jessica’s family, Budd also turned out to be a perfect Pop Art Puppy Dogs subject.
These days both Finn and Budd play more of a supervisory role in Jessica Marie’s thriving art business, spending hours watching over her as she works on each new pet portrait in her studio.
Now painting dogs from all around the world, Jessica specialises in painting, not just a pet’s likeness, but also their spirit and personality in a way that is as unique as they are.
Aware of the discomfort that being hunched over a desk for long hours can cause and not willing to settle on a conventional upright easel that looked just as uncomfortable, Jessica went searching for something different to help achieve her artistic vision. She found the answer in the Artristic easel.
“I’ve been using my Artristic easel ever since I bought it back in 2015 and it’s fantastic. A truly innovative easel designed to help artists – I paint faster and more efficiently using my Artristic easel so can delight more pet parents with Pop Art portraits of their best furry friend. It easily adjusts to where I need it, meaning I’m in a more comfortable position for the time that I spend on my art.”
We love the amazing personality portraits Jessica creates for loving pet parents all over the world, and we’re excited to hear how much of a contribution our easel has made to her as an artist.
Jessica says “The versatility of the Artristic easel is endless, it can hold all sizes of thin framed canvas that I use for my acrylic paintings, I can secure a board across it to use as a tilted drawing desk for watercolours and I’ve even found a way for it to hold my iPad for digital drawings. It is one of the best investments I’ve made into my art.”
Jessica tells us her Artristic easel will continue to assist her in growing her thriving art business and creative endeavours far into the future.
Jessica Marie currently paints on the artristic STUDIO easel Mk 4.
