Sarah captivates audiences across the world with her speed painting abilities
For every artist, revealing new work can be nerve-wracking. Opening oneself to an audience and uncovering the result of countless hours of painstaking work at once exhilirating and confronting. And so it takes a special kind of confidence and creativity to become a performance artist like Sarah Rowan.
Sarah has been creating unique works of art with her vivacious, friendly and relaxed personality for over a decade.
With many hundreds of clients and having appeared at more than 300 events, this talented artist has well and truly established her place in the fast thinking, fast painting, crossover area of the art/entertainment industry by perfecting a style known as “performance painting”.
Sarah is in continuous demand, creating eye-catching artwork on stage before live audiences at corporate events, weddings, festivals, fundraisers, trade shows, schools and more. Sarah seeks not only to entertain, but also to inspire.
Her performances require a thorough, confident understanding of the theme or message each painting needs to represent, and what will happen when you bring together canvas, brush, hands, paint and imagination.
“The Artristic easel revolutionised my career as a speed painter. The ease of use and portability make this easel my favourite tool of the trade. It entertains the audiences I am performing for, whilst simultaneously aiding my creative process and perspective of each work. Looking forward to owning a third one so I can work on multiple pieces at once!”
Graduating from Converse College in 2003 with a BFA in Studio Art, Sarah began her art business in Greenville, SC before moving to Sydney to pursue live art. She lives in Sydney with her two remarkable girls, Selah and Rhema.
With her heart set on raising over one million dollars for charities, Sarah has raised more than $110K AUD and continues her efforts to raise more.
Selected clients include ANZ, AMP, Hewlett Packard, Beam Suntory, Mi9, The Salvation Army and the Business Chamber of NSW. The charity dearest to her heart is A21, an Australian based non-profit, non government organisation working to fight human trafficking around the world.
Whether for board room meetings, team building events, cocktail parties, weddings, birthdays, schools, fundraising or any special celebration or eventful occasion, Sarah always adds a one off point of difference. Constantly ready to think on her feet, Sarah is also happy to adapt her performance so art works can also be interactive and allow audience participation.
Sarah appeared on one of Australia’s most popular morning television shows, Studio 10 on May 28th 2018. Painting for three hours, she created three paintings, which are available for sale on her website. While preparing for her appearance on Studio 10, Sarah went live on Instagram to share the experience with her followers.
We’re excited to hear Sarah is about to embark on a series of live appearances taking in all of Australia’s major cities with her brand new artristic easel!
Sarah Rowan currently paints on three artristic Studio easels! Yes, it is entirely possible that you’ll see her painting on all of them at one time if you are lucky enough to see her perform on stage. Sarah loved her first Mk 4 easel so much she bought another very soon after the first arrived. She recently took delivery of a brand new artristic easel and wasted no time taking it “for a spin”.
