Suits a variety of canvas shapes and sizes
The artristic™ easel’s revolutionary attachment hub makes it possible to easily work on square, round or oblong canvases as small as 18cm x 18cm (7 inches x 7 inches). In fact, some artristic™ artists have become so adept at working with their artristic™ easels they have discovered that they can produce artworks as small as 13cm x 18 cm (5 x 7 inches)!
While some artists like to paint or draw on very large canvases, the maximum canvas size recommended for use on the artristic™ Studio easel is 120cm x 120cm (47 inches x 47 inches).
Using the artristic Studio Easel
The design of the artristic™ Studio easel enables canvas stretchers to be rear-attached, providing the flexibility to rotate your work 360 degrees with full access to canvas edges and eliminating the visual obstruction created by supports on traditionally designed easels.
Canvas stretchers are attached using the pointed rods and TBars attached to the artristic™ easel hub, and this will result in there being slightly more “give” in the surface of the artist’s canvas than may be the case when using a traditional A-Frame or H-Frame easel. This movement in the canvas may increase slightly with larger sized canvases. While hundreds of artristic™ artists love painting with our easels and do not find it to be a problem, you may find the difference in feel takes a little getting used to.
Note: Given the canvas movement described above, the artristic™ Studio easel may not be the best choice for artists who use heavy pressure while painting.
Rotating your work is easy when you paint or draw with an artristic easel
The artristic™ easel’s revolutionary attachment hub provides new freedom and flexibility for artists working in any medium, allowing the painting or drawing surface to be spun, tilted or rotated into any position. If you have always wished you could paint all four sides of your canvas while working, you’ll love our Studio easel. Simply rotate the canvas into the position needed and continue to paint.
Once tilted or rotated the canvas can be locked in position, or leave it free to move and give yourself the freedom to rotate or spin the surface as you work.
The design of the easel also makes it perfect for artists who need to work on a horizontal canvas, making it the ideal choice for those working in watercolours, acrylics, poured enamel and any number of specialized fields such as art restoration.
Paint comfortably sitting or standing
Whether you prefer to paint sitting or standing – or maybe like to switch often between the two – the artristic Studio will provide the flexibility you need.
